A lot of people believe that when you perform SEO on a website that success is both quick and guaranteed, but I’m afraid it is neither.
If you need instant results then you can pay for AdWords but this can be costly depending on how much your competitors are paying.
When a new website is launched, Google knows nothing about that company. It can take months and months to build up your reputation with Google so that it believes you are the go-to company for your product or service.
This very website https://lordknows.co.uk is a brand new site with a newly registered domain name. This means that we’ve started with no rankings or reputation and are aiming to get found for our keywords and phrases. One of these phrases is “web design Ely”. After one month we were listed on page 3 for the term and now, after two months, we are on page two.
As we build our website with blog posts and new content, expand our social media network and build quality backlinks to our website we will hopefully reach the top of page one within a couple of months. Unfortunately for us, as we are a web and marketing agency our competition for those top spots is pretty good as it’s what they also do each day.
