Social media that sounds like you and brings in local customers.

Something I add for clients whose website and search are already working, rather than a service on its own. Posts written by hand in your voice, scheduled at a pace we can keep up for years, replies handled on weekdays, and a short report each month. You see every post before it goes live.

  • One channel from £550 a month
  • Two from £950
  • Three from £1,250
  • No setup fee and no minimum term. 30 days’ notice either way.

A week, on one channel or three.

The same week, Monday to Sunday, drawn for each size of plan.

  1. One channel

    £550 a month

Two or three posts a week on the one channel your customers use most.

  2. Two channels

    £950 a month

Four to six posts a week across two channels, each written for the platform it lands on.

  3. Three channels

    £1,250 a month

Six to nine posts a week across three, with replies and messages checked on all of them.

The posting days here are an example. Yours are agreed with you and written into a calendar that arrives in the last week of each month for the next: themes, formats, dates and draft captions in a shared document. Nothing goes up that you have not seen.

The pace is the point. Two or three posts a week per channel is a pace we can keep up for years, which is where the results come from. Ten posts in week one and then silence builds resentment. One good post on schedule for two years builds a relationship.

Better to be loved by a hundred people who buy than ignored by a hundred thousand who scroll past.

Local first, by name: Ely, Cambridge and Newmarket. The first month is the set-up. The second is finding the rhythm. By the third, the calendar is doing the thinking and you’re back to running the business.

Everything a small business needs to keep showing up, without it eating your week.

Plan, voice, posts, scheduling, replies and a monthly look at what is working. One channel or three. I’ll not sell you a fourth you don’t need.

  1. A short channel plan

    Week 1

Which platforms you actually need to be on, who your audience is there, what kind of posts suit you and how often. Most small businesses need fewer channels, not more.

  2. A note on your voice

Week 2, then yours to keep

How you greet people, how you sign off, the words you use and the ones you never would. One page, used for every post and every reply, with a handful of sample posts for you to read and sign off.

  3. A monthly calendar

The last week of each month, for the next

Themes, formats, dates and draft captions in a shared document. Nothing goes up that you have not seen.

  4. Pictures and captions

    Every post

Your photos and short videos tidied up and captioned for each platform, in your voice, with a proper opening line and a clear next step. No stock photos.

  5. Scheduling and posting

Two or three a week per channel

Posts go out on agreed days and times, at a pace we can keep up for years.

  6. Replies and messages

    Every weekday

Comments, messages and mentions checked every weekday. Routine replies handled in your voice; anything about prices, quotes or jobs passed to you the same day.

  7. A monthly report, and a word every quarter

First working day of every month; an hour every 90 days

What went out, what people responded to, what to do more of next month. Then, every quarter, an hour together on what is working, what isn’t and what to try next, tuned on your real numbers.

Will it sound like me, and the other questions.

The questions that start most first calls about social media, including the ones about TikTok, going viral and whether anyone is paying attention any more.

Want a quick, honest look first? Email enquiries@lordknows.co.uk with your handles and I’ll send back a few plain thoughts within a couple of days.
How much does social media management cost?
One channel with a pace we can keep up starts at £550 a month. Two channels from £950 a month, three from £1,250. There is no setup fee and no minimum term, just 30 days’ notice on either side.
Which platform should I be on?
Wherever your customers already are. Local businesses selling to the public usually mean Instagram and Facebook. Selling to other businesses usually means LinkedIn. A very visual product might suit TikTok. We choose by your audience, not by what is trending.
Will the posts actually sound like me?
Yes, that’s the whole point. Before any post is written we put together a short note on how you actually speak, including the things you would never say. You see every post before it goes live, and the voice gets tuned over the first three months until it reads like you wrote it.
Do you use AI to write the posts?
Captions are written by hand, in your voice. AI is occasionally useful for a first-draft brainstorm or hashtag research, but every published word is written or rewritten by a person. Generic AI captions are why so much business social media feels hollow.
Can you take the photos too?
Most clients use their own photos or book a regular shoot. If you have neither, I can arrange a Cambridgeshire photographer at cost, or set you up with simple templates so your phone photos come out looking on-brand.
What about going viral?
Do not aim for it. Going viral is a lottery ticket: fun if it happens, irrelevant if it does not. The goal is a small audience that buys, comes back and tells their friends. Steady beats spectacular.

Tell me where your customers are.

Thirty minutes on a call, or a few lines in the form. Tell me what you sell, which platforms you’re on now and how it’s going. If I can help I’ll say how and what it costs, in writing. If I’m not the right fit I’ll say that too.

Tell me about your business.

A few lines is plenty: what you sell, where you post now, and what you would like to happen. I read every message myself.

Your message comes straight to me, and your details are used only to reply to it, never added to a list or passed on.
