A website that answers the buyer’s questions before they pick up the phone.

Business buyers do their homework. They compare specifications, check you can deliver and often draw up a shortlist before they speak to anyone. I build websites and online shops for suppliers, manufacturers and service firms that answer those questions properly, from £1,700 at a fixed price in writing, and I keep them found month after month.

Websites from £1,700 Online shops from £4,800 Care from £87/mo Fixed prices, in writing, before any work begins.

  • One person, from the first call to years after launch.
  • Product, specification and price pages your buyers can actually use.
  • Search work that keeps you in front of trade buyers, reported in plain English.

Most B2B websites are brochures. Yours should do some of the selling.

The enquiries that matter rarely start with a phone call. They start with a buyer searching for exactly what you sell.

Think about how your best customers found you. Someone needed GRP grating, a recruitment partner or a sorting line for a recycling plant. They searched, opened three or four websites, and shortlisted the ones that made it easy: clear products, real specifications and an obvious way to get a price. The rest never heard about it.

That is the work I do for GRP Grating UK, Grating Direct and Safety Products Direct: WooCommerce shops for industrial products, with category and product pages written to be found, the technical housekeeping done month by month, and a plain-English report at the start of each month.

Not every B2B business sells online. All Controls supplies sorting, separation and metal detection equipment to recycling, timber, textile and quarrying firms across the UK and Ireland, and I look after its website. Compass IT Support in Burwell and Xpert Resourcing, a recruitment firm in Ely, both came to me for websites that explain what they do to the businesses they work for.

GRP Grating UK, Grating Direct and Safety Products Direct are looked after month by month: the shop, the search work and a plain-English report.

Three things that make this work for B2B.

Buyers are busy and careful. The website has to respect both.

  • Built around what buyers check.

Specifications, sizes, documents, lead times, delivery areas and an easy way to ask for a quote or place an order. The details your buyers compare are the details that win the shortlist.

  • Found by the people who buy.

Search work aimed at the exact phrases trade buyers type, not traffic for its own sake. Category and product pages written properly, technical SEO kept tidy, and Google Business Profile set up if you serve a local area.

  • One person who knows your business.

No account manager who changes every year. I’ve built more than 1,200 websites since 2001, and the person on your first call is the person who builds and looks after yours.

What a B2B website from me includes.

Every project is quoted to the job, but these are the parts most B2B websites need.

If you sell to the trade online, prices can sit behind a login or show to everyone. I set it up the way your customers buy.

  • Product and service pages

A clear page for each product or service, with the specifications, documents and photos buyers ask for.

  • Quote and enquiry forms

Short forms that ask the questions you would ask on the phone, so your first reply can include a price.

  • An online shop where it helps

WooCommerce shops from £4,800, with trade accounts or quote-only products where they suit how you sell.

  • Search that brings buyers

Technical SEO, page titles, product schema and the content trade buyers search for, with a monthly report if you want it looked after.

  • Tools that save phone calls

Calculators, finders and trade areas built as bespoke WordPress plugins from £1,800, like the store finder I built for James Retail’s 39 shops.

  • Your accounts, your data

The domain, hosting, Google Analytics and Search Console set up in your name. You own everything.

  • Care, so it stays fast and safe

Hosting, backups, security, updates and small changes from £87 a month.

“Delivered on time and on budget, having worked morning, noon and night as he said he would.”
Chris Tebbit, TECT Risk Services

Four steps, with a fixed price your finance team can approve.

The same four steps as every project. Purchase orders and 30-day terms are fine.

About four weeks from the first call to launch, six for an online shop. The honest variable is how quickly words and photos come back.

  1. Talk

    30 minutes, free

A call about what you do, who the website is for, what it has to do and what isn’t working now.

  2. Quote

    Week 1

A written proposal within two working days: a fixed price and a timeline. Sign it or sleep on it, no obligation. No hourly billing, ever.

  3. Build

    Weeks 2 to 3

I design and build, and you see it taking shape and say what you think. Short email check-ins, no project portal.

  4. Launch and care

    From launch

We go live, I show you the ropes in 30 minutes, and the care plan keeps it fast, safe and found from then on.

B2B websites, plainly answered.

The questions people ask on the first call. If yours isn’t here, send it over and I’ll answer it straight.

Easier to talk than type? Book a 30-minute call for a time that suits you.
How much does a B2B website cost?
Most B2B websites start from £1,700 with your own words and photos, and online shops from £4,800. Larger sites with trade areas, calculators or integrations are quoted to the job. You get a fixed price in writing after a free 30-minute call, and if the scope changes, the price changes in writing before the work happens.
Can you sell to trade customers online?
Yes. WooCommerce can handle trade accounts, prices that only show once a customer has logged in, and products that ask for a quote instead of going in the basket. Grating Direct and Safety Products Direct are both WooCommerce shops for industrial products.
We already have a website. Can you improve it rather than start again?
Often, yes. I look after existing websites as well as building new ones, All Controls among them, and sometimes the best value is improving the pages buyers actually use rather than a full rebuild. I’ll tell you honestly which it is on the first call.
How do you report on results?
A short plain-English report each month: what changed, which searches and pages brought enquiries, and what I’m doing next. No dashboards to decode.
Do you work with businesses outside Cambridgeshire?
Yes. Most clients are in and around Cambridge and Ely, but suppliers sell nationally, and I work with businesses across the UK by video call. All Controls, for one, sells across the UK and Ireland.

More of the buyers you want.

Thirty minutes on a call, no obligation. Or send a message about what you sell and who buys it, and I’ll come back the same day, Monday to Friday.

One small ask. Have a think about which products or services you’d most like more enquiries for. It changes what the website should lead with.

Tell me about your project.

A few lines is plenty: what you do, what is frustrating you about your current site, and what you’re hoping for. No jargon required. I read every message myself.
